Amazon Rank Checker ("the extension") is an internal tool built for agency use to track Amazon organic rank, sponsored rank, and Best Sellers Rank (BSR) across keywords and competitor ASINs. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
When a user runs a keyword scan, the extension opens Amazon search result pages in a browser tab, reads the visible page content to determine ranking positions for the configured ASINs, and displays the results inside the extension popup. It can optionally sync those results to a private tracking server configured by the user.
Collected ranking data and configuration are used solely to display results inside the extension and, if the user has logged in and selected a product, to sync results to the user's own tracking server for historical reporting. Login tokens are used only to authenticate requests to that same server.
We do not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties. Data collected by the extension is transmitted only between the user's browser and the private tracking server the user has configured. No data is sent to any other destination.
Configuration values, scan results, and the authentication token are stored locally using the browser's extension storage APIs and remain on the user's device until cleared by the user or by uninstalling the extension. Data synced to the tracking server is retained according to the policies of that server's operator.
The extension does not load or execute any remotely hosted code. All JavaScript included in the extension ships bundled within the extension package.
The extension requests browser permissions (tabs, storage, scripting, alarms, downloads, and host access to Amazon domains and the user's configured server) solely to perform the ranking scans described above, save results locally, export results as CSV/XLSX files, and sync data to the user's own server. No permission is used for any purpose beyond this single function.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
